Vincent O'Keefe         Writer * Stay-at-Home Dad * Ph.D.
Welcome! Here are my current projects       (Click here to contact me for details):

 A) Finishing a memoir about a decade of parenting.

 B) Writing humor essays about same, a second memoir, and a children's book.

Click here to listen to my "birth story" as a stay-at-home dad, which I recently told on The Regina Brett Show on WKSU, an NPR affiliate. Minutes 2-8 focus specifically on me (and end with a guaranteed laugh), though I contribute throughout the hour-long show about parenting and gender role reversals.

Nutshell: Before having children, Vincent O’Keefe taught writing and literature at the University of Michigan while living in rival Ohio, much to his students’ dismay! His writing has appeared (or is forthcoming) in a variety of venues, including Brain, Child, The New York Times "Motherlode" blog, The Washington Post website, The Huffington PostThe Cleveland Plain Dealer, and What Would MacGyver Do? True Stories of Improvised Genius in Everyday Life, edited by a former editor at Esquire.
